Instructions for Cast Iron
Cooking in Cast Iron is easier than we think and maintaining it is so satisfying and gives you a great sense of achievement.
Start with this: Wash the pan well with mild soap and a scrub and pat it dry with a kitchen towel or a cotton cloth. Apply oil all over the pan and gently place it over the stove to heat.
For the Dosa Pan: Keep the flame on medium heat and apply oil using onion. Make thicker, oothappam sized dosas first before you venture into making thi, crispy dosais. Ideally the dosa pan is kept wiped and washed before the next use, but if you wash, please don't forget to season using the above method.
Please note that the products come from traditional foundries and natural but small imperfections are inherent nature of the product.
